Vision for Relocation to New Southlands Location for Aurora First Assembly of God Enhanced by Share Financial Information Meeting
Dallas, TX, May 30, 2007 — Share Financial Services, an investment banking company specializing in church and non-profit finance since 1970, was pleased to announce the exceptional interest and support expressed during an information meeting at Aurora First Assembly of God in Aurora, Colorado. The church is located in Aurora, Colorado with attendance of over 1200 people on a Sunday and is scheduled to build a new 48,550 square foot worship facility adjacent to the growing Southlands shopping area.
Pastor Gene Roncone, senior pastor of the church, said “I was expecting 35-45 to attend and was thrilled to see 107 in attendance.” Pastor Roncone explained that the church had interviewed five financial organizations and the board of deacons decided to partner with Share Financial Services to provide strategic planning and financing for the church’s relocation project.
On May 15th 2007 Ben Richards, a senior consultant with Share Financial, discussed the custom designed workings of the Aurora First Assembly’s bond-financing program. Mr. Richards explained that one reason for a Share financing was because the interest rate of the mortgage could be fixed for the entire mortgage period (unlike traditional bank financing), another was that the anticipated blended interest rate of the mortgage would be less than 7.5% for the entire 20 years, whereas a bank mortgage is currently at 8.25% and would be readjusted every three to five years. Another consideration was that the church could potentially save up to $1.0 million in interest, the ministry budget would not be put at risk and the members and families would receive the interest rather than a lending institution. Pastor Roncone said “In all cases it is a win-win opportunity.”
